akkiṉi (p. 4) s. Fire, தீ. 2. The god of fire and regent of the south-east, அக்கி னிபகவான். (See திக்குபாலகர்.) 3. (M. Dic.) The plant செங்கொடிவேலி. There are reckoned different kinds of அக்கினி, (a.) ஆயுரு வேதாக்கினி, of three kinds, for preparing medicines, as கமலாக்கினி, காடாக்கினி, தீபாக் கினி, which see. (b) Three other kinds called வேதாக்கினி for sacrificial purposes, as, காருகபத்தியம், தக்கணாக்கினியம், ஆகவனீயம். See தீ. (c.) The fire which will consume the world, காலாக்கினி. Wils. p. 6. AGNI. அக்கினிகணம், s. The same as தீக்கணம், an inauspicious measure. See கணம். (p.) அக்கினிகர்ப்பம், s. A spark. 2. A crystal with fabulous qualities. 3. A decayed cuttle-fish bone, Os sepi&ae;, கட னுரை. அக்கினிகலை, s. Breath coming from the nostrils, in சரசாத்திரம். அக்கினிகோத்திரம், s. One of the twenty-one யாகம். 2. One of the princely races. அக்கினிக்கட்டு, s. Restraining the power of fire by magic. அக்கினிக்கண்ணன், s. A fiery man, one having a terrible countenance. அக்கினிசன்மன், s. One born of fire, Skanda. See அக்கினிபூ. அக்கினிசாந்தி, s. [in astrology.] Offerings to fire; this is done with ghee, plantains, cakes, &c., after repeating an incantation one hundred and eight times to avert evil from அக்கினிதேவன். These offerings are made particularly at the time of marriage and of doing penance. அக்கினிசாலம், s. Tricks or artifices made by the agency of fire. அக்கினிச்சிலம், s. A plant, Gloriosa superba, L., கார்த்திகைக்கிழங்கு. அக்கினிச்சேர்வை, s. [prov.] A blister-plaster. அக்கினிட்டோமம்--அக்கினிஷ் டோமம், s. One of the twenty-one யாகம். அக்கினித்தம்பம்--அக்கினிஸ்தம்பம், s. A pillar of fire. 2. Stopping the power of fire by magic. 3. One of the sixty-four கலைஞானம். அக்கினித்தம்பன், s. Siva as a column of fire. See தம்பம். அக்கினித்திரயம், s. The aggregate of the three fires maintained by the Brahmin householder, the Garhapatya, காருகபத்தியம், Dakshanagniyam, தட்சணாக் கினியம், and Ahavaneya, ஆகவனியம். See தீ. அக்கினித்திராவகம், s. Fire-water --such as nitric acid, &c. அக்கினிநாள்--அக்கினிநட்சத்திரம், s. [astrol.] An inauspicious nakshatra or day. There are three in a year, viz., when the sun is in the last quarter of the second nakshatra, பரணி, when in the 3d nakshatra, கார்த்திகை, and when in the 1st quarter of the 4th nakshatra, உரோகணி. அக்கினிபஞ்சகம், s. Danger of fire as an astrological result of the aggregate of five items. அக்கினிபயம், s. [in calendars.] Danger or fear of fire. அக்கினிப்பிரவேசம், s. Entering into or passing through fire, as a religious act. அக்கினிப்பிழம்பு, s. A body or flame of fire. அக்கினிப்பிளப்பு, s. A volcano, volcanic eruption. அக்கினிமண்டலம், s. The seat of fire in the system--the abdomen. அக்கினிமந்தம், s. Indigestion. அக்கினிமலை, s. A volcanic mountain. அக்கினிமிதிக்க, inf. To tread on fire, one of the thirty-two kinds of selftorture. அக்கினிமூலை, s. The south-east region. அக்கினியாதேயம், s. One of the twenty-one யாகம், sacrifices. அக்கினியாஸ்திரம், s. A kind of arrow, ஓரத்திரம், (c.) அக்கினியோகம், s. An inauspicious conjunction of the days of the week with the tithi திதி, as follows: 1. When the 5th or 11th tithi, Lunar day (திதி) occurs on Monday. 2. When the 5th tithi occurs on Wednesday. 3. When the 6th or 9th occurs on Thursday. 4. When the 8th or 1th occurs on Friday. 5. When the 9th or 11th occurs on Saturday. 6. When the 12th occurs on Sunday. 18) *

aẕuttu (p. 33) கிறேன், அழுத்தினேன், வேன், அழுத்த, v. a. To press, press hard as in writing with a heavy hand, impress, imprint, அழுந்தச்செய்ய. 2. To make firm, compact, உரப்பிக்க. 3. To set diamonds, &c., enchase, inlay fine gold in jewels, பதிக்க. 4. To repeat, reiterate sentiments or arguments in order to make an impression on the minds of others, to insist upon, maintain tenaciously, கருத்திலிருத்த. (c.) இதை யுன்மனதிலே யழுத்திப்பார். Imprint this on your mind and attend to it. அழுத்திப்பேச, inf. To speak impressively, emphatically. அழுத்து--அழுத்துகை, v. noun. Closeness. 6)

ācciramam (p. 37) s. Hermitage, the residence of an ascetic, முனிவரிருப்பிடம். 2. Religious condition as prescribed especially for the Brahmans, including four degrees or orders, நிலை; viz.: 1. பிரமசாரி யாச்சிரமம், the state or condition of a bachelor, who, from the time of his investment with the sacred cord, is required to tend the sacred fires and to follow his studies under or in the presence of his preceptor. 2. கிரகஸ்தாச்சிரமம், the state of a house-holder, who, from his marriage, must strictly observe his religious duties, maintain the sacred fires, and liberally practise hospitality for the support of the other three orders. 3. வானப்பிரஸ்தாச் சிரமம், the state of an anchorite or recluse, who, with or without his wife, relinquishes domestic life, retires to the desert feeding on leaves, roots and fruits, or on the hospitality of the second order, and continues to perform his daily rites. 4. சன்னியாசியாச்சிரமம், the state of a religious mendicant who performs no rite whatever and lives only on alms, sometimes appearing in a state of nudity. āṟu (p. 43) s. and adj. Six (6.) six things, ஓரெண். 2. As a prefix to words beginning with consonants, the initial is often shortened, especially when the number is specific--as அறுசுவை, the six flavors. (c.) அவ்வாறு. Six by six, six to each, six of each. அறுகுணன், s. The deity--he who possesses the six attributes, கடவுள்; [ex குணம், quality.] (p.) அறுகோணம், s. A hexagon. 2. A magical diagram of two equilateral triangles, one laid over the other so that their sides may be parallel, making six outward and six inward angles. அறுசமயம், s. The six systems of religion maintained by Hindus. See சமயம். அறுதொழிலோர், s. Brahmans-from the six duties prescribed to them, வேதியர். See தொழில், office. அறுபகை, s. The six hurtful propensities--as காமம், &c. See பகை. அறுபருவம், s. The six seasons of the year--as கார், கூதிர், &c. See பருவம். அறுபொழுது, s. The six different portions of the day; 1. மாலை, the first four hours after sunset, or ten nalikies. 2. யாமம், four hours, or ten nalikies after மாலை. 3. வைகறை, four hours after யாமம் or before sunrise. 4. காலை or விடியல், four hours after sunrise or வைகறை. 5. நண்பகல், from eleven A. M. to two P. M. 6. ஏற்பாடு, from three to six P. M. அறுவர், s. Six persons--men or women. (p.)--Note. For other similar words, see அறு. ஆறங்கம், s. The six subjects embraced in வேதாங்கம்; which see. (p.) ஆறாமீனறவோட்டு, s. The transit of the sun through the pleiades, regarded by seamen, as a critical or disastrous season, when rough weather is to be looked for. ஆறுகட்டி, s. A kind of ear-ring worn by a set of Pandarams. ஆறுகாடு, s. [commonly ஆற்காடு.] A town near Vellore, சடாரணியம். (p.) 65)

āḷ (p. 43) --ஆளு, கிறேன், ஆண்டேன், வேன், ஆள, v. a. To rule, reign, exercise royal power, whether supreme or delegated, அரசுசெய்ய. 2. To possess and employ slaves, அடிமையாள. 3. To possess and enjoy the produce of land, the use of a house, &c., ஆட்சிசெய்ய. 4. To govern a wife, household, &c., குடும்பத்தையாள. 5. To accept, adopt--as a servant, slave, &c., receive into protection, ஆட்கொள்ள. 6. To use, establish usage--as in language, மொ ழியாட்சிசெய்ய. 7. To cherish, maintain, cultivate, exercise, ஓம்ப. 8. To manage, direct, கையாள. (c.)--Note. An appellative affix is formed from ஆள் by adding அன், for the singular, and அர் for the plural-as பகையாளன், a foe; பகையாளர், foes. ஆளமாட்டாதவனுக்குப்பெண்டேன்? What does he want with a wife, who cannot govern her? எடுத்தாளாதபொருளுதவாது. A thing not used becomes useless. என்னைமகிழ்வாலிசைந்தாளில். If thou receivest me with cheerfulness into thy protection. நட்பாள்பவர். Those sincerely united in friendship. யாமத்துமாளுந்தொழில். Employed even by night. (குறள்.) சான்றோராலாளப்பட்டசொல். A word used by the learned ancients. மன்னுயிரோம்பியருளாள்வார். They who cherish and exercise charity toward all living. அல்லலருளாள்வார்க்கில்லை. Evil cannot assail the charitable. ஆண்டவன்--ஆண்டான், appel. noun. A ruler, governor, lord, master, ஆள்வோன். ஆண்டி, s. [fem. ஆண்டிச்சி.] A religious mendicant of the Siva sect, a devotee, சிவனடியான். 2. A ruler, an appellative of the deity, transferred to the devotee. ஆண்டை, s. [fem. ஆண்டைச்சி.] A master, lord, landlord--as spoken by low castes, in reference to their feudal chief of superior caste, எசமானன். சத்தியமாய்்ச்சொல்லுகிறேனாண்டைகேளீர். My lord, listen to me; I will confess the truth. (ஞானவெட்.) ஆட்சி, v. noun. Possession, heritage, inheritance, title, உரிமை. 2. Government, domination, rule, reign, ஆளு கை. 3. Use, practice, occupancy, usage-especially in language by classical writers, வழக்கம். ஆட்சித்தானம்--ஆட்சிராசி, s. [in astrology.] One of the five situations in which a planet has government--that of its being in a sign deemed its own, during which it exerts special benignity --an occurrence favorable to the birth of a child, &c. ஆட்சிப்பட, inf. To become one's right by long possession, தற்கிழமை யாக. நெடுநாளாயவனுக்காட்சிப்பட்ட தெய்வம். A spirit or demon that has long been subject to him, or with which he has long been familiar. ஆட்சிப்படுத்த, inf. To secure a title by long possession, தற்கிழமையாக்க. ஆளுகை, v. noun. Rule, government, domination, authority. ஆளுகைசெய்ய, inf. To exercise government. ஆள்வாரில்லாமாடு, s. A cow or bull appropriated to a temple, which is left to stray as it likes; such are well received and fed. 59)

iṉṟi (p. 57) . Gerund of the symbolic verb இல், ஓர்குறிப்புவினையெச்சம். ஒப்பின்றியநெஞ்சமே. O! matchless mind. தாமதமின்றி. Without delay, expeditiously. தவறின்றிநடக்கிறதரிது. A word in common use--in distinction from திரிசொல்-exclusively poetic usage--words understood both by the learned and unlearned. இயற்பெயர், s. Proper or arbitrary names, titles, terms of office, &c., இயல் பாயிடப்பட்டபெயர்; also names of things indicating a whole--as distinguished from parts. 2. uṇrttu (p. 59) கிறேன், உணர்த்தினேன், வேன், உணர்த்த, v. a. To teach, instruct, explain, cause to feel, perceive, understand, to enlighten, impart knowledge, to convince, கற்பிக்க. 2. To declare, treat of a subject--as a speaker or author, அறிவிக்க. 3. uyir (p. 63) s. Life, soul, vitality, animal or vegetable life, சீவன். 2. Wind, காற்று. 3. A vowel, உயிரெழுத்து. 4. A living being, human, brute, or vegetable; an animal, ஓரறி வுயிர்முதலியசீவராசி. உயிருமுடலும்போல. As closely united as the soul and body. உயிர்போய்விட்டது. Life is gone. மன்னுயிர்க்கிரங்குகிறது. To be compassionate to other living creatures. உயிரடங்க, inf. To be in a state of insensibility, be in a swoon, to be suspended as the vital powers. உயிரடைய, inf. To revive, to be reanimated. உயிரளபு--உயிரளபெடை, s. The lengthening of a vowel in verse. See அளபெடை. உயிரறுதியும். Till the very end of life. உயிருதவி, s. Aid in a fatal juncture. 2. Aid by sacrificing life for another. உயிரெடுக்க, inf. To take away life. உயிரெழுத்து, s. A vowel, ஆவி. உயிரொடுங்க, inf. To be reduced as the powers before death, உயிரடங்க. 2. To die, சாவ. உயிரொளிக்க, inf. [prov.] To feign great weakness, sickness, inability, &c., in order to gain or effect an object, உயிர்மறைக்க. உயிரொளித்தகள்ளன், s. A cringing deceiver who though rich and strong makes pretensions to the contrary. உயிரோம்ப, inf. To support life, maintain, உயிர்காக்க. உயிர்கலக்க, inf. To revive, to be diffused--as life through the body in one that has been swooning, &c. 2. To reunite as the soul with the body in one restored to life. 3. (fig.) Vengeance, divine or human, persuing the murderer to death, regarded as the ghost of the murdered person, பிரமகத்தி. உயிர்ப்பிராணி, s. [vul.] A living creature, a brute, an inferior animal, சீவபிராணி. உயிர்மாய்க்க, inf. To destroy one's self, commit suicide, தன்னுயிரைப்போக்க. 2. To murder, kill, கொலைசெய்ய. உயிர்மெய்--உயிர்மெய்யெழுத்து, s. An animated consonant, a consonant combined with a vowel, ஓரெழுத்து; (lit.) a living body. உயிர்வாங்க, inf. To take away life, உயிரெடுக்க. உயிர்வாழ்க்கை, s. The enjoyment of life, சீவிக்கை. உயிர்வாழ, inf. To live--as men or brutes, சீவனோடிருக்க. 2. oẕuku (p. 84) கிறது, ஒழுகினது, ம், ஒழுக, v. n. To flow, நீர்முதலியவோட. 2. To go, pass, walk, செல்ல. 3. To act, behave, maintain a course of conduct, act according to rule, to behave well, நெறிப்படிநடக்க. 4. To be long, நீள. (p.) 5. To leak, drop as water, fall by drops, trickle down, drip, drop through, to be shed, தொளைவழி யாயொழுக. ஒழுகுபொற்கொடிமூக்கு. The nose of the damsel who resembles a beautiful long creeper. A kind of அகவல் verse composed of நேரொன்றாசிரிய த்தளை and நிரையொன்றாசிரியத்தளை. ஒழுகுவண்ணம், s. A cadence which flows in an easy and pleasing style, ஓர்சந்தம். ஒழுகல், v. noun. Flowing. 2. Leaking, dropping, a leak. 3. Behavior. 4. Length. 5. Height. ஒழுகலான், appel. n. He who does not conduct himself virtuously (நீதிநெறி.) வாய்நீரொழுகல், v. noun. Drivelling. ஒழுக்கு, v. noun. Leaking, dropping, dripping, ஒழுகுகை. 2. Flowing, flow, நீர்முதலியவோடுகை. 3. The passing of urine in drops. ஒழுக்குக்குவைத்தசட்டிபோல். Like a vessel set to catch the water from a leak-spoken of one supported at the expense and pleasure of another. ஒழுக்குமாற்ற, inf. [prov.] To stop leak. ஒழுக்குவிழ, inf. ōmpu (p. 84) கிறேன், ஓம்பினேன், வேன், ஓ ம்ப, v. a. To protect, guard, defend, save, காக்க. 2. To preserve, keep, take care of, பாதுகாக்க. 3. To keep off, ward off, dispel, cease from, ஒழிய. 4. To cherish, nourish, maintain, support, to cause to increase, வளர்க்க. பரிந்தோம்பிக்காக்கவொழுக்கந்தெரிந்தோம்பித்தேரி னுமஃதேதுணை. Desire and maintain with great care the conduct proper to your caste, which, how much soever the virtues are examined and understood, and how much soever the senses are guarded, is alone the convoy of the soul. (குறள்.) அஞ்சலோம்பென்றார். He said, away with your fears. (குறள்.) வலியார்மேன்மாறேற்றலோம்புக. Let opposition to those more powerful than yourself cease. (குறள்.) விலக்கியவோம்பி. kālam (p. 104) s. Time. duration, பொழுது-Note. In Hindu philosophy, காலம் is said by the Saivas to have proceeded from மோகினி Maya, and to be a co-efficient cause with Siva in the acts of creation, preservation and destruction. It is Time personified, and according to the Hindu metaphysicians, one of the seven வித்தியாத் துவம். (சிவ. சி.) 2. Season of the year or life; also a specific time of the day, பருவம். 3. A seasonable or proper time, opportunity, season, சமயம். Wils. p. 216. KALA. 4. Day-break, விடியல். 5. (fig.) (c.) The time appointed for death, as distinguished from that for accident death, முடிவு. 6. [in gram.] Tense; also, the characteristic of a tense, வினையின்காலம். The three tenses are, இறந்தகாலம், எதிர்காலம், நிகழ்காலம். 7. [in music.] The three measure--as (1.) விளம் பம், slow. (2.) துரிதம், quick. &c. (3.) மத் திமம், the medium. 8. Epoch, era, யுகம். 9. Weather, காலவியல்பு. காலத்துக்குத்தக்ககோலம். Adapting one's self to the times. காலத்துக்குத்தக்கதாய்நடக்க. inf. To live according to circumstances. காலம்போம்வார்த்தைநிற்கும். Time files, but words remain. காலகதி, s. Events of time, காலநடை. காலகதியை யாவருங் கடக்கமாட்டார்கள். None cane escape the events of time. காலகருமம்--காலகன்மம், s. Employments, duties, &c., appropriate to an age, time, season, stage of life, &c., காலத்துக் குரியசெய்கை. காலக்கிரமம், s. The course of time; chronological order, காலவொழுங்கு. காலக்கிரயம், s. The price of the articles for the time being; current or market price, காலவிலை. காலக்குறி, s. Signs of the time. காலக்கொடுமை, s. The evils, calamities, &c., of time. காலங்கண்டவன், s. An experienced man; an aged person. காலங்கரந்தபெயரெச்சம், s. [in gram.] A relative participle without the characteristics of the tenses--as in கொல் யானை. காலங்கழிக்க, inf. To pass time கா லம்போக்க. காலங்கழிய, inf. To pass--as time, நாட்கழிய. காலங்கூட, inf. [local.] To die. காலசக்கரம், s. The different number of years of influence ascribed to the respective planets as operative on the lives of persons, ஆயுள்நியதிச்சக்கரம். 2. The aggregate of the years of the nine planets according to their respective influence, கிரகபலச்சக்கரம். 3. Period or term of life, ஆயுட்காலம். Wils. p. 216. KALACHAKRA.. அவனுக்குக்காலச்சக்கரமுடிவுவந்துவிட்டது. The end of his term is come. காலசங்கதி, s. Intelligence, news or events of the time or the day. காலசங்கை, s. Guess of time from mere inspection, காலஉத்தேசம். 2. Reckoning of time, காலக்கணக்கு. (p.) காலசந்தி, s. The daily morning worship; also applicable to that at noon and evening. 2. The interval between any two yugas, kalpas, &c. See கற்பம் and சந்தி. திரிகாலசந்தி, s. Worship in the morning, at noon and in the evening. காலசுகம், s. Favorableness of the time, astrologically and superstitiously considered. காலஞ்செல்ல, inf. To depart this life, to die. 2. [prov.] To be late. காலக்ஷயம்--காலட்சயம், s. Passing one's time or days, காலக்கழிவு. காலக்ஷேபம்--காலட்சேபம் s. Passing one's time or days; circumstances, welfare, &c., காலங்கழிக்கை. 2. Means of subsistence, சீவனம். Wils. p. 216. KALAKSHEPA. 3. A small portion of time, காலத்தின்நுண்ணியபங்கு. காலநெடுமை--நெடுங்காலம், s. Length of time, a long time. காலநேமி, s. An Asura, ஓர் அசுரன். Wils. p. 217. KALANEMI. காலநேரம், s. Time in reference to the influences of planets upon the fortune, health, &c., of a person. காலநோக்காடு, s. [prov. in child-birth.] Natural and timely labor. காலந்தள்ள, inf. To pass one's days, to pass one's time, to maintain one's self, to live, காலம்போக்க. காலப்பரிச்சேதம், s. Discernment--as to the time of an event or the existences of a thing. It is one of the three பரிச்சேதம் modes of ascertaining facts. காலபரிபாகம், s. The maturity of the soul, or time for its attaining bliss, having eliminated its good and evil propensities. காலபேதம்--காலவித்தியாசம்--கால வேற்றுமை, s. Difference of time with respect to the changes it produces. காலபோகம், s. A crop of grain or fruits in the proper season. 2. The enjoyment or suffering resulting from previous moral actions, to which a living being at distant times is subjected, காலப் பயனுகர்வு. காலப்பெயர், s. Nouns or names of time--as year, month. 2. Nouns derived from names of time--as பங்குனன் (one born in the பங்குனி month). காலப்பெயர்ச்சி, s. Change of season or monsoon; unseasonable weather, கால விகற்பம். காலமயக்கம்--காலமயக்கு, s. [in gram.] An improper use of the tenses, காலவழு. 2. An allowed deviation in the use of tenses, காலவழுவமைதி. காலமலைவு, s. Confusion of statement in regard to time--as asserting that the lotus blooms in the evening, or the lily during the day. காலமல்லாக்காலம், s. An unfortunate, fatal time; an unseasonable time, அகாலம். காலமழை, s. Rain in the proper season, பருவத்திற்பெய்யுமழை. காலமறிய, inf. To know the times so as to adapt one's self to them, காலவகைய றிய. 2. To know things past, present or future intuitively or by apiritual sight --as yogis, காலவியற்கையறிய. காலமாறு, Morning by morning, every morning, காலைதோறும். (c.). காலமானம், s. [in arith.] Time measure. காலமிருத்து, s. Death at the destined season--as distinguished from accidental death, விதித்தகாலத்திலடையுமரணம். காலமே--காலத்தாலே. In the morning, early, betimes. காலம்பண்ண--காலம்பண்ணிப்போக, inf. To finish one's time, to die. காலம்பார்க்க, inf. To look or watch for a proper time or opportunity, சமயம் பார்க்க. காலம்புரள, inf. To present a manifest revolution--as in the order of things; to be irregular, deranged, &c.--as the events of a time--as toddy-drawers seen riding in palankeens, &c. காலம்போக்க, inf. To pass the times. 2. To while away time. காலவகை, s. Seasons, times, காலக் கூறுபாடு. 2. Circumstances depending on time, காலவேறுபாடு. காலவர்த்தமானம், s. Events of the times. காலவழக்கம், s. Customs of the times. காலவழு, s. [in gram.] An improper use of the tenses--as the past for the future, &c., காலக்குற்றம். காலவாகுபெயர், s. [in gram.] Nouns of time or portions of time, used by metonymy for what is intimately connected with time--as கார்த்திகை, the name of a month, for a plant which mostly blossoms during the month. காலவிடைநிலை, s. [in gram.] Characteristics of tenses, காலத்தைக்காட்டுமிடை நிலை. They are 1. த், ட், ற், and இன் for the past. 2. ஆநின்று, கின்று and கிறு for the present. 3. ப், ல், for the future. There are some other characteristics-as மன், இசின், ய், இ, ன், &c. காலவிரைவு, v. noun. Swiftness or rapid flight of time. காலாகாலம், s. Times seasonable and unseasonable, auspicious and inauspicious, நற்காலந்துர்க்காலம். 2. One time or another, not often, not frequently. (c.) காலாக்கினி, s. The fire which is to destroy the world at the end of the great yuga; a deluge-fire said to be in reserve in the nethermost part of the earth. Wils. p. 218. KALAGNI. 2. One of the two-hundred and twenty-four புவ னம் under the regency of Kálágni. காலாக்கினியுருத்திரம், s. One of the thirty-two உபநிடதம். காலாக்கினியுருத்திரர், s. Rudra or the deity in the lowest region, in charge of the deluge-fire. There are ten subordinate Rudras, who resemble their chief. காலாந்தம், s. The end of time, கால முடிவு; [ex. அந்தம்.] காலாந்தரம், s. Intermediate space of time, process of time, காலநடை. 2. Meanwhile, காலவிடை; [ex அந்தரம், interval.] காலேச்சுரவாதம், s. The metaphysical philosophy which maintains that Time is God. காலோசிதம், s. A fit, proper time, உச் சிதகாலம்; [ex உசிதம்.] அந்தியகாலம், s. The time of death. ஆங்கால மெய்வருந்த வேண்டா வதுதானே தேங்காய்க் கிளநீர்போற் சேருமே, போங்காலம் காட்டானை தின்ற கனியதுபோ லாகுமே தேட்டாளன் றேடுந் தனம். Wealth shall or itself accumulate at the appointed time of increase, as the liquor within a cocoanut, and no toll is required; but at the fixed time for ruin, the riches of a hard-working man shall pass away like the contents of a woodapple eaten by an elephant. எக்காலமும்.
