To adhere, unite with, apply for protection, சார. 4. v. n. (with dative.) To belong, pertain, relate to, be fit for, suitable to, deserving of, conformable to, becoming, உரித்தாக. 5. To happen, occur, சம்பவிக்க. எனக்கடுத்தவர்கள், The people associated with or belonging to me, out own people, kindred. அவள் இவனுக்கடுத்தபெண். She is a suitable woman for him. ஒரு சொல்லிரண்டுமூன்று நான்கெல்லை முறைய டுக்கும். The same word will be repeated twice, thrice, or four times. (Nun.) அடாதது, appel. n. That which is improper, unfit. அவனுன் வீட்டிலே வால் அடாது. It is bad for you to have him come to your house. அடாநிந்தை, s. Injustice, unfounded reproach. அடுகிடை--அடுகிடைபடுகிடை, v. noun. [prov.] Lying down at a person's house determined not to leave till the thing asked is obtained, எழும்பாக்கிடை. அடுக்க, inf. [used adv.] Near, near at hand. அடுத்தடுத்துச்சொல்ல, inf. To reiterate. அடுத்ததண்டனை, s. Deserved punishment. அடுத்ததின்றன்மையான்மாவாகும். The associations of the soul determine its character. (In வீராகமம்.) அடுத்தவீடு, s. The next house. அடுத்தார், s. A pledge, கொதுவை. 1. Tribute, the king's proportion of the produce of the land whether one-sixth or one-tenth, or otherwise, நிலவிறை. (c.) அடைகாக்க--அடைகிடக்க, inf. To sit on eggs, incubate. அடைகாய், s. Betel and areca nut. அடைகொடுக்க, inf. To render the kings's share of the produce. அடைகோழி, s. A hen that sits on eggs. அடைக்காய், s. Areca nut. அடைக்குத்தகை, s. [prov.] Revenue from grain as farmed out by government. அடைச்சீட்டு, s. [prov.] Receipt for the payment of tithe or tax. அடைப்பை, s. A betel pouch, வெற் றிலைப்பை. அடைப்பைக்காரன், s. The servant who carries the betel pouch, &c. of a great person. அடையடுத்தவாகுபெயர், s. A species of metonymy, as, மருக்கொழுந்துநட் டான், he planted a twig of the absinthium, that is, the plant itself. 19)

The first of the four kinds of royal chariots used in war, நால்வகைத்தேரிலொன்று. அதிரதன், s. A superior form, fine features, excellence of figure. அதிவாசம், s. The day before a feast, preparation day. 2.
