A soft or liquid consonant. மெல்லென, inf. To be soft, gentle; used adverbially. மெல்லெனப்பாயுந் தண்ணீர்கல்லையுங்குழியப்பா யும். The water which flows gently will excavate a stone. மென்கணம், s.
