cūṭu (p. 199) கிறேன், சூடினேன், வேன், சூட, v. n. To wear, commonly on the head, அணிய. (c.) 2. To be crowned, crested, to adorn one's self, கிரீடஞ்சூட. (p.) 3. To bear, sustain, be invested with a name, நாமஞ்சூட. 4. v. a. (coast usage.) To brand cattle, brand as a medical operation, மாடுமுதலியவற் றைச்சுட. சூடினமாடு, s. A branded animal.
