The hydra-headed serpent as the couch of Vishnu. சர்ப்பந்தீண்டல், v. noun. The biting of a serpent, (lit.) touching of a snake. (c.) சர்ப்பாகாரம், s. [in astron.] The arranging of shells, or concrete numbers, in a serpentine way, so that the inferior kinds or numbers of the lower denominations may form the lower strata, and the superior, the upper one, &c.-opposed to தண்டாகாரம். 8)
