Any of the காரகவேது, in operation, as distinguished from ஞாபகக்கருவி. காரகத்துணைக்கருவி, s. Instruments, &c.--as the wheel of the potter, தொழிற் றுணைக்காரணம். காரகநிமித்தக்கருவி, s. The agent of an action, செய்கையின்நிமித்தகாரணம். காரகமுதற்கருவி, s. The proximate cause--as the clay for a pot, செய்கையின் முதற்காரணம். காரகவேது, s. The three causes in the performance of an action, as காரகக் கருவி. 2. [in rhetoric.] Assigning extraordinary causes in accounting for an event; one of the two kinds of ஏதுவலங் காரம், the other being ஞாபகவேது. காரகன், s.
