(c.) தீட்டுக்கழிக்க, inf. To perform ceremonial purification, especially after child-birth. தீட்டுக்காரி--தீட்டக்காரி, s. A woman in her monthly course. 2. A woman ceremonially impure. தீட்டுச்சீலை--தீட்டச்சீலை, s.Menstruous cloths. 2. Cloths impure from child-birth. தீட்டுத்தொடக்கு, s. It becomes sharpened the more it is whetted; (fig.) the mental powers improve by exercise, application and study. தீட்டிப்பார்க்க, inf. To try a knife by a hone. 2. To try one's learning by questions. நாக்குத்தீட்ட, inf. [prov. in cant usage.] To praise one's self. தீட்டல், v. noun. Writing, sharpening, cleansing, &c., as the verb. தீட்டலரிசி--தீட்டரிசி, s. [prov.] Rice sifted and cleansed. (c.) தீட்டு, v. noun. Whetting, honing, கூர் மையாக்குதல். தீட்டுக்கல்--தீட்டுகல், s. A whet-stone, a hone, &c., சாணைக்கல். தீட்டுக்கோல்--தீட்டுகோல், s.
