To be choked by a bone, or a piece of areca-nut, stopped in the throat, பாக்கடை க்க. 3. To be proud, vain, self-conceited, அகங்கரிக்க. 4. To be wilful, wanton, presumptuous, rash, கர்வமாயிருக்க. 5. To be infatuated, to have the mental powers deluded, or the reason under the dominion of the senses, மயக்கமுற. 6. To believe in selfaction, and be insensible to the agency of the deity in one's operations, ஆணவமுற. (c.) மாடுசெருக்குகிறது. The ox chokes (from something stuck in its throat.) செருக்கிக்கிடக்க, inf. To be dizzy from taking strong areca-nuts, or from eating strong வரகு grain. செருக்கல், v. noun Dizziness, stupor, nausea, incipient or slight inebriation, from the use of some kinds of arecanuts, &c., அருக்களிப்பு. 2. Elated feelings, either in a bad or good sense, மிகமகிழ்கை. செருக்கல்வரகு, s. [prov.] A kind of வரகு, or millet, that causes dizziness, stupor, &c. செருக்கற்பாக்கு--செருக்குபாக்கு, s. [prov.] Stupifying areca-nuts. மதஞ்செருக்க, inf. To be mad with lust. செல்வச்செருக்க, inf. To be intoxicated with prosperity. 67)
