Cloth steeped in a medical preparation and put in the mouth for a sore throat, &c., அடைசுபொட்டணம். அடைத்தகுரல், s. A hoarse, husky voice. அடைபட, inf. To be closed, shut up, அடைக்கப்பட. 2. To be obstructed, as a passage, &c., தடைபட. அடைப்பன், s. Obstruction of the throat, quinsy in cattle, ஓர்வியாதி. அடைப்பு, v. noun. Shutting, closing, stopping. 2. s. Obstruction. 3. Enclosure. 4. pṭṭṭai (p. 291) s. A stock, heap; pile of straw, firewood or timber, குவியல். 2. The anvil of a black-smith, gold-smith, &c., அடைகல். 3. A black-smith's or other vise, அடைகுறடு. 4. A mechanic's shop with its various implements, கம்மியர்கராக சாலையும், கருவியும். 5. Any thing held against another, as a support in driving a nail, தாங்குகருவி. 6.
