amṇm (p. 19) s. Twenty thousand betelnuts, இருபதினாயிரம்பாக்கு. See அவணம்.-Note. In poetry it is used for அம்மணம், nakedness. பதினாயிரங்கொடடைப்பாக்காயிருந்தனள் பைந்தொ டியே. In this the number பதினாயிரங்கொட் டைப்பாக்கு is the same as அரையமணம், half naked, and so the verse is ambiguous and may mean, she was naked. 9)

cōẕiyṉ (p. 212) s. One from the சோழம் country. (c.) 2. [prov.] A broad, strong kind of hoe, பெரியமண்வெட்டி. சோழியர், s. A class from several castes, named perhaps from their country சோழம், பிராமணர்வேளாளர்முதலியவர்களிலோர் பிரிவினர்--as சோழியப்பார்ப்பார், சோழியவேளாளர், &c. சோழியப்பல்லு, s. [prov.] A tooth like a hoe.
