āriyaṉ (p. 41) s. A learned man, a sage, அறிவுடையோன். 2. A guru or priest, குரு. 3. A poet, புலவன். 4. A superior, மேலவன். 5. A physician, வைத்தியன். 6. An out-cast, an unclean stranger of a foreign faith, மிலேச்சன். 7. Eyanar, ஐயனார். 8. The sun, சூரியன். 9. A buffoon, juggler, தொம்பன். (p.) ஆரியக்கூத்து, s. The name of தாலம்பபாஷாணம், வெள்ளைப்பாஷாணம், சாலாங்கபாஷாணம் and கற்பரி பாஷாணம். கம்பக்கூத்து--கம்பநாட்டியம், s. Pole-dancing--it is of two kinds, viz.: ஆரியக்கூத்து and தொம்பர்கூத்து. கம்பக்கூத்தாடி, s. A pole-dancer. கம்பபாணம்--கம்பவாணம், s. [in pyrotechny.] The figure of a man or animal, so constructed as to discharge rockets from the different apertures of the body.
