avā (p. 30) s. Desire, eagerness, avididity, greediness, craving, cupidity, ஆசை. 2. Intense or sensual desire, as lust, avarice, great hunger, thirst, &c., ஆசைப்பெருக் கம். 3. Descent, இறங்குகை. (p.) அவாவயின்விதும்பல், v. noun. The longing of a loving and affectionate husband and his wife when separated. அவாவறுக்க, inf. To extirpate the desires arising from the senses, ஆசைநீக்க, [ex அறு.] அவாவின்மை, s.
