kol (p. 146) --கொல்லு, கிறேன், கொன்றேன், வேன், கொல்ல, v. a. To take life, kill, slay, murder, கொலைசெய்ய. 2. To deprive mercury of its metallic properties by oxidation; to kill mercury, &c., இரசமுதலிய வற்றைக்கொல்ல. (c.) 3. (fig.)
