niruvāṇam (p. 277) --நிர்வாணம், s. Nakedness, nudity, உடையின்மை. (c.) 2. Absolute repose, quietude of an ascetic; stoicism, மோட்சம். 3. Liberation, cessation from actions. விளையொழிவு. 4. Emancipation from births, liberation of the soul, final bliss, பிறப்பொழிவு.--In this sense it is especially used by Bhuddas and Jainas implying perfect quiescence. W. p. 476.
