uruḷ (p. 65) --உருளு, கிறது, உருண்டது, உருளும், உருள, v. n. To turn about as a wheel, or dice, to roll, bowl, trundle, tumble over and over, revolve on a plane, spin or whirl--as a thrown discus, at right angles with the horizon, புரள. 2. To become round, grow globular, திரள. 3. (c.) To perish, die in numbers--as in battle, by an epidemic, &c.; to waste--as wealth, &c.; to become extinct, be exterminated, அழிய. உருண்டுபோவாய். May you die. (An imprecation.) அவன்கூட்டமெல்லாமுருண்டுபோயிற்று. His whole circle is extinguished. காணாப்பிணமாயுருண்டுபோகிறது. To die unnoticed. கொள்ளைநோயிலநேகருருண்டுபோனார்கள். The globular shell or crust supposed to inclose the solar system and each heavenly sphere; the vault of heaven, அண்டக டாகம். 4. tirṭṭu (p. 239) கிறேன், திரட்டினேன், வேன், தி ரட்ட, v. a. To make round, to form lumps or balls, as of boiled rice when eating, or of sandal paste, &c., to work into round masses, to make pills, உருட்ட. 2. To make round of conical, as a turner with a lathe, உருண்டையாகக்கடைய. 3. To collect, to bring together, to muster--as troops, or bodies of men, சேர்க்க. 4. To compile, from various authors, to incorporate, to embody, சங்கிரகிக்க. 5. To amass wealth, &c., to accumulate, to treasure up, திரவி யங்குவிக்க; [ex திரள், v.] (c.) என்னிடத்திலேதிரட்டித் திரட்டிக்கொடுத்துவைத்தா யோ. Did you store up your earnings in my hands? திரட்டிப்பிடிக்க, inf. To eat in large lumps. திரட்டுப்பால், s. Milk thickened by boiling, இறுகக்காய்ச்சியபால். சனந்திரட்ட, inf. To collect people. commonly for an expendition. படர்கொடிதிரட்ட, inf. To collect the branches of a creeper and bring them together. பணந்திரட்ட, inf. To accumulate wealth, to treasure up money. வரம்புதிரட்ட, inf. To construct embankments in rice fields. See வரம்பு. திரட்டு, v. noun. (or a substantive.)
