With the agent in the dative, and the object in the nominative--as எனக்கொருபுஸ்்தகங்கிடைத்தது; lit. a book has come to me; i.e. I have obtained a book. 2. There are different kinds of பிரதிஷ்டை, of a linga, as தே வப்பிரதிஷ்டை, cousecration by a deity; 2. ஆரிஷப்பிரதிஷ்டை, by a Rishi; 3. நரப் பிரதிஷ்டை, by an ordinary man. பிரதிஷ்டைபண்ண--பிரதிஷ்டையாக்க, inf. To consecrate, devote, dedicate. பிரதிதானம்--பிரதியுபகாரம், s. Remuneration, benefits in return for favors received; return of a deposit, கைம்மாறு. 2. Gifts given in expectation of a return, எதிர்க்கொடை. பிரதிதினம், s. Day by day நாளுக்குநாள். பிரதிதுரை, s. [Tel.] A deputy governor, உதவித்தலைவன். பிரதிநிசம்--பிரதிராத்திரம், s. Night by night, இரவோடிரா; [ex நிசம்=நிசி.] பிரதிபட்சன், s. An opponent, an antagonist, எதிரி. பிரதிபதம், s. A synonyme, பரியாயச் சொல். பிரதிபத்தி, s. Great confidence, in one whose good will has been experienced, மிகநம்பிக்கை. பிரதிபந்தகம்--பிரதிபந்தம், s. Obstacle, impediment, தடை. பிரதிபாதிக்க, inf. To determine, to define, to conclude. (Rare.) பிரதிபாலனம், s. Guard, protection, as பரிபாலனம், காப்பு. பிரதிபிம்பம், s. As பிரதிவிம்பம். பிரதிபோதம், s. Instruction, teaching, கற்பிப்பு. பிரதிமண்டலம், s. Circumference, சுற் றளவு. 2. An eccentric orbit. பிரதிமூர்த்தி, s. A likeness, image, resemblance, picture, தோற்றம். 2. Representation, பாவனை. 3. A transcript, பெ யர்த்தெழுதுகை. பிரதிமை, s. [also. பதிமை, vul. பதுமை.] Likeness, resemblance, portrait; puppet; figure, effigy, statue, விக்கிரகம். W. p. 565. PRATIMA. பிரதியாக, inf. [adverbially.] Instead of in lieu of, in return for. பிரதியுத்தரம், s. An answer, மறுமொழி. பிதியெழுத, inf. To copy, to depict, to follow in imitation, பெயர்த்தெழுத. பிரதிலோமகன்--பிரதிலோமன், s. A son of a father and mother of different castes. See அந்தராளன். பிரதிவசனம்--பிரதிவாக்கியம், s. Answer, reply, மறுமொழி. பிரதிவாதம், s. Defence, replicand, respondent in a controversy. பிரதிவாதிப்பு, v. noun. A reply. (R.) பிரதிவிம்பம், s. Resemblance, or counterpart of real form--as a picture, image, shadow, reflection. பிரதிவிம்பர், s. [pl.] Reflectors, representatives, as the evolve, or secondary forms of the deity, உபதேவர். பிரதிவிம்பிக்க, inf. To be reflected, as images in a mirror, to be cast as a shadow, to be presented as the counterpart of real forms, to appear as the deity in any of the forms assumed as creator, preserver, &c., பிரதிபலிக்க. 29) *

mlai (p. 346) கிறேன், ந்தேன், வேன், ய, v. a. To wear, put on, தரிக்க; [from Sa. Mala, v.] 2. To oppose, fight with, எதிர்க்க. 3. To contradict, ஆட்சேபிக்க. 4. To oppose in meaning, மறுக்க. 5. To fight, போர்செய்ய. (p.) மலைகளிறு. A fighting elephant. மலையம். neg. We cannot fight, &c. மலைவு, v. noun. Delusion, confusion of mind, மயக்கம். 2. Obscurity in language, சொன்மலைவு. 3. muṭuku (p. 356) கிறேன், முடுகினேன், வேன், முடுக, v. n. To hasten, or be in haste, as கடுக, சீக்கி ரப்பட. 2. To appear in multitudes; to swarm, to throng, மொய்க்க, நெருங்க. 3. To be strong, வலிமையாக. 4. v. a. To oppose, to resist, எதிர்க்க. முடுகிநட--கடுகநட. Go quickly. முடுகியல், s. An anap&ae;stic measure, with a recurrence of the same termination, in each word, as in quadrupedante sonante; commonly முடுகு, துரிதலயை. See அ ராகம். 2. A part of one kind of poem, கலிப்பாவினோருறுப்பு. முடுகு, v. noun. A quick measure in music, as முடுகியல். முடுகுவெண்பா, s. A species of வெண் பா verse composed in quick measure. It is of two kinds, பின்முடுகுவெண்பா, and முன்முடுகுவெண்பா. 113)

muṭṭu (p. 356) கிறேன், முட்டினேன், வேன், மு ட்ட, v. a. To thrust against, to butt, தாக்க. 2. To oppose, to hinder, தடுக்க. 3. To assault, to attack, எதிர்க்க. 4. v. n. To be in want, straits or difficulty, குறைவுற. (c.) பிள்ளையைமாடுமுட்டிப்போட்டது. The ox pushed the child (with its horns). அன்னமுட்டினாலெல்லாமுட்டும். If rice be deficient, all things will be wanting. முட்டம், [neg. first per. pl.] We shall not want. (p.) முட்டிக்கேட்க, inf. To beg, being in want. முட்டிக்கொள்ள, inf.
