oḷvu (p. 84) கிறேன், ஔவினேன், வேன், ஔவ, v. a. To grasp or seize, or take hold with the mouth, to bite off, கடித்துப்பி டிக்க. 2. To graze, rub off the skin. burn or scald so as to excoriate, அழுந்தியெடுக்க. --Note. The meaning is similar to கௌவ, but less intense. ஓவியம், s. A picture, a portrait, சித் திரம். 2. kārukam (p. 104) s. Manufacture, the act of manufacturing silk or cotton cloth, the process of preparing cotton or silk; spinning and weaving, நெய்யுந்தொழில். 2. Menial service, servile labour or toil--as carrying burdens, &c., கைங்கரியமானவேலை. 3. A form of religion--the worship of fire, அக்கினியைவணங்குஞ்சமயம். காருகத்தொழில்--காருகவினை, s. Manufacture, spinning, weaving, நெய்தற்றொ ழில். 2. The work or employment of weavers. 3. Menial service, toil, கைங் கரியவேலை. காருகர், s. Weavers, நெய்வோர். 2.
