The seven oceans of the Puranas are, 1. லவணச முத்திரம், sea of salt-water. 2. இக்ஷுசமுத்திரம், sea of the juice of sugar-cane. 3. சுராசமுத்தி ரம், sea of spirituous liquor. 4. சர்ப்பிசமுத்தி ரம், sea of clarified butter. 5. ததிசமுத்தி ரம், sea of curds. 6. க்ஷீரசமுத்திரம், sea of milk. 7. சுத்தோதகசமுத்திரம், sea of fresh water. கடலுரமாயிருக்கிறது.
