kṇṭi (p. 89) க்கிறேன், த்தேன், ப்பேன், க்க, v. a. To reprove, reprehend, chide, speak with severity, admonish, expostulate, censure, கடிய. 2. To speak with decision, precision, earnestness, impartiality, பாரபட்சமின்றிப்பேச. 3. To cut in pieces, chop, mince, slash, துண்டிக்க. 4. To sever, sunder, hew down, வெட்ட. 5. To divide, parcel, பகிர. 6. To correct, chastise, discipline, punish a child, &c., to bring to a proper state by discipline, தண்டிக்க. கண்டித்துக்கண்டித்துச்சொல்ல, inf. To particularize. கண்டித்துக்கேட்க, inf. To ask with earnestness, reproof, threats, &c. கண்டித்துச்சொல்ல, inf. To speak harshly, to command with severity, to reprove, insist on. 2.
