piṇaiyl (p. 315) v. noun. [used substantively.] Brace, couple, pair; two or more cattle, &c., fastened together, இரண்டுமுதலியசேர்ந் தது. 2. A hinge, கதவின்கீல். 3. Garland, or string of beads, மாலை. 4. A garland, or string of beads entwined, பின்னியமாலை. 5. Fastening of a yoke, நுகத்தோடுசேர்த்தல். 6. A negative form of the optative--meaning join not, பிணையாதே. பிணையலடிக்க--பிணையடிக்க, inf. To tie bullocks in a row together for threshing. பிணையல்மாடு--பிணைமாடு, s.
