kṉai (p. 102) க்கிறேன், த்தேன், ப்பேன், க்க, v. n. (generally used with the impers. terminations.) To sound, roar--as the sea, a drum, &c., ஒலிக்க. 2. To neigh--as horses; to whinny, bray--as asses; to bellow--as buffaloes; to bleat--as he-goats in rut, குதி ரைமுதலியகனைக்க. 3. To make a mock laugh, to hem at one in contempt, or ridicule, கொக்கரிக்க. 4. To sound the fourth letter in each class of Sanscrit letters, கனைத்தொலிக்க. கனைக்குதல்--கனைத்தல், v. noun.
