ceruppu (p. 205) s. a leathern sandal or slipper, a clog, பாதரட்சை. (c.) ஒற்றடிச்செருப்பு, s. (contraction of ஒற் றையடிச்செருப்பு) A slipper. கிறிச்சுச்செருப்பு, s. Creaking shoes. குத்திச்செருப்பு, s. Shoes with thick soles. தோற்செருப்பு, s. Shoes with thin soles. செருப்பாலடிக்க, inf. To beat one with a shoe; deemed very degrading. செருப்பாலடிகறுப்பாயிபிழைப்பிலே. (சது.)-- of tigers there are different kinds, கொடிப்புலி, கழுதைப்புலி, சிறுபுலி, சிறுத்தைப்புலி, பெரும்புலி or வேங்கைப்புலி, &c., which see. புலிபோலப்பாய்ந்தான். He pounced [on me] like a tiger. புலிக்குட்டி, s. A tiger's whelp. புலிக்கொடியோன், appel. n. A king of the solar dynasty, (lit.) whose flag was a tiger. புலித்தடுக்கி--புலித்தொடக்கி, s.
