A bird, the feathered tribe in general, பறவை. தேவகோலம், s. Divine majesty. கோலங்கட்ட, inf. [prov.] To attair for a dramatic performance, to put on a mask or costume. தலைவிரிகோலயாய்த்திரிகிறாள். She wanders, or roams about with dishevelled hair. இவன்கோலக்காரன். He is a sport-maker. கோலங்காட்ட, inf. To affect grandeur, or a pompous appearance; to assume a mean or too fine a dress; to make a parade, to appear beautiful either by nature or art. 2. [loc.] To present the bridegroom and the bride to the company at a marriage. கோலங்கொள்ள, inf. [prov.] To assume a peculiar dress, style or appearance. 2. To manifest symptoms of desease, to put on the appearance of sorrow, regret, gaiety, levity, pleasantry, &c. 3. To assume a rainy appearence--as the clouds. அவன்பெண்பிள்ளைக்கோலமாயிருக்கிறான். He acts a woman's part. கோலமாற, inf. To be charged--as the appearance, features, dress, &c. 2. To be disguised in, or to represent, a new character. கோலமெடுக்க, inf. To assume a shape. 2. To disguise one's self. கோலம்பண்ண--கோலம்புனைய, inf. TO ornament, to adore, beautify; to deck. கோலம்புனைபெண்--கோலஞ்செய்வா ள், s. A lady's dressing maid. (p.) கோலம்போட--கோலமிட--கோல மெழுத, inf. To mark ornamental lines &c., on a person, wall or floor. எல்லாருந்தடுக்கின்கீழ்நுழைந்தாலவன் கோலத்தி ன்கீழேநுழைவான். When all creep under a little mat, he creeps under an ornamented covering, i. e. he is very artful. கோலம்வர, inf. To go in procession. காலாகோலம், s. Irregularity, confusion. பிறந்தகோலம், s. Nakedness. மணக்கோலம், s. A procession of the bridegroom before his marriage. மழைக்கோலம், s. Rainy appearance, cloudiness. 21) *

cẕi (p. 173) கிறது, ந்தது, யும், ய, v. n. To be pressed out of form; to be distorted, twisted, sunk, crushed down on one side, கீழேய மர்ந்துபிரிய. 2. To become crumpled, wrinkled, decayed by age--as things, தளர. (c.) தேகஞ்சழிந்துபோயிற்று. The body is become crumpled. சழிவு, v. noun. Being crushed down on one side, distortion, crumple. சழிவுநெளிவு, s. Crookedness and distortion. (c.) 17)

To be fractured or bruised. காலின்கீழேகிடந்துநெரிபடுதல்..... Being servile, (lit.) trodden under foot. நெரிபுருவம், s. [also நெறித்தபுருவம்.] Eye-brows greatly curved in displeasure, ready to break, a poetic hyperbole. (p.) நெரிமீட்டான், appel. n. A kind of herb, the root of which is used for curing bruises, ஓர்பூடு. நெரிவு, v. noun. Fracture; variance, discord, disunion, பகை. 2. To bow, to bend, to stoop; to make obeisance or a courtesy, to prostrate one's self in reverence, or worship; to be humble, submissive, வணங்க. 3. To decline, as a bird, &c., இறங்க. (c.) 4. To build low-as a wall, or a house; to tie or fasten low. 2. To put on a dress so as to have it hang low. பணிந்தகூரை, s. A low-eaved roof. பணிந்தவன், appel. n. A shortish person. பணிந்தவார்த்தை, s. Submissive words; modest or reverential language. பணிந்துகேட்டல், v. noun. Asking humbly. பணிந்துநடக்க, inf. To walk humbly, behave submissively. 2. To set servilely. பணிந்துபோகுதல், v. noun.
