To cause to recede or retire, to take or put on one side or out of the way, as the hair--as cattle, &c., meeting one in the road, to drift floating or other bodies to the shore, to push into a corner, to one side, to a hedge, &c.--as dry leaves, &c., to shove away, ஒதுங்கச்செய்ய. 2.
