kūppiṭu (p. 134) கிறேன், கூப்பிட்டேன், வேன், கூப்பிட, v. a. To call one, to call by name, to call attention, அழைக்க. 2. To call on one for aid, to cry to the deity; to invoke --as evil spirits, முறையிட. 3. To call with authority, to summon, to cite, அதிகாரத்தா லழைக்க. 4. To invite, வரவழைக்க. 5. v. n. To call out, to cry out, to exclaim, to halloo, to shriek, to whoop, கூவ. 6. To cry--as certain animals, மிருகங்கூப்பிட; [ex கூப்பு. calling, et. இடு.] கூப்பிட்ட குரலுக்கொருவருமில்லை.
