kuṟai (p. 132) க்கிறேன், த்தேன், ப்பேன், க்க, v. a. To lessen, shorten, curtail, contract, deduct, சுருக்க. 2. To reduce one's circumstances, power, authority, &c., to cut off, crop; to cut or hew down, to fell, குறுக்க, தறிக்க. 3. To destroy, அழிக்க. குறைத்துக்கொடுக்க, inf. To reduce payment, to pay less than the expected or stipulated sum. 2. To supply insufficiently--as food, &c. குறைத்துப்பரிமாற, inf.
