The pericarp of the lotus flower, with which the female body is compared for softness, தாமரைக்கொட்டை. 11. [prov.] The fruit buds of the jack tree, பலாப்பிஞ்சு. கொட்டைகட்ட, inf. To gamble with இருப்பை seeds, ஓர்விளையாட்டு. கொட்டைக்காய், s. A seedy or stony fruit; any fruit the stones or seeds of which are large, or numerous, in proportion to the pulp. கொட்டைக்கச்சி--கொட்டைக்கையில், s. [prov. vul.] The half of a cocoanut shell. See கொட்டங்கைச்சி. கொட்டைக்குவிட, inf. To let a plant go to seed. கொட்டைச்செத்தல்--கொட்டைத்தேங் காய், s. [prov.] A dry cocoanut in which the kernel rattles, கொப்பரைத்தேங்காய். கொட்டைநூற்க, inf.
