By some, சாந்தம், tranquillity, equanimity, peace, abstraction or the stoicism of the ascetics; and by others வற்சலம், parental tenderness are given as a ninth meaning; இரசம் is added at pleasure with the loss in some cases of its initial-as வீராசம், இழிப்பிரசம், &c. The state or character of one baffled or defeated in his projects. குரங்குபோலிளித்தவாயன். One who grins like a monkey. பல்லையிளிக்க, inf. To laugh foolishly. இளிச்சற்கண், s. Blear eyes, eyes sore with rheum. இளிப்பு--இளிவு, v. noun. Grinning, simpering, tittering, பல்லிளிக்கை. 2. Ridicule, scorn, derision, இழிவு. 3. Disgrace, நிந்தை. நாயையடித்துப்பல்லிளிவுபார்க்கிறதினாலேயென் ன? What will it avail to strike a dog and then look at its grin? [prov.] எள்ளினிளிவாமென்றெண்ணி. The hot season, hot weather. உட்டணங்கொண்டிருக்கிறவன், s. One affected with excessive heat in the body. உட்டணசஞ்சீவி, s. The பிரண் டை plant, Vitis quadrangularis. உட்டணசிகை, s. The sign in which either the planet mars, saturn or the sun is situated. உட்டணசைத்தியம், s. The use of hot or pungent things to cool the system--as pepper, hot water, &c. உட்டணபூமி, s. A lemon plant. காட்டெலுமிச்சை, s. Wild lime, Limonia alata. கொடியெலுமிச்சை, s. A kind of creeper whose fruit resembles a lime. கஸ்தூரியெலுமிச்சை, s. A small species of lemon, Triphasia trifoliata, D.
