A funeral ceremony, giving seven kinds of things--as rice, clothes, money, &c., to seven brahmans, ஓர்மரண கன்மம். சத்தகுலாசலம், s. The seven distinguished mountains in India: மகேந்திரம், மலயம், சகியம், சத்திமான், இருட்சம், பாரிபாத்திரம், மாவிந்தம்; (காந்.) also seven mountains which are fancied to exit in each of the seven Dwipas. சத்தசாகரம்--சத்தசமுத்திரம், s. To pass round one another--as combatants, or as birds, &c., in a circle, சுற்றிச்சுற்றிவர. 3. To make ornamental, astrological or mystic diagrams, commonly of a circular figure, யந்திரம்வகுக்க. மண்டலவிதி, s. Directions for making diagrams, for worship, &c. மண்டலபுருடன், s. [also called வீரமண் டலவன்.] A Jaina ascetic equally eminent as a poet and lexicographer. His poetic lexicon சூடாமணிநிகண்டு, outshines all similar productions in Tamil. He also wrote an epic poem in honor of Argha, ஓர்நிகண்டாசிரியன். மண்டலாகாரம், s. A circular figure, course, &c., வட்டவடிவம். மண்டலாபிஷேகம், s. A daily anointing of an idol for forty days, after the கும்பாபிஷேகம் or other ceremony. மண்டலார்த்தம், s. Semicircle, அர்த்த கோளம். 2. Semidiameter, பாதிவிட்டம். மண்டலீகர், s.
