pṭu (p. 291) க்கிறேன், த்தேன், ப்பேன், க்க, v. n. To lie down for sleep, or otherwise; to roost as birds, கிடக்க. (சது.) 2. v. a. To thresh grain, போரடிக்க. 3. To pave, to floor, to lay a stratum, தளவரிசைசெய்ய. 4. To catch, to ensnare, to make, செய்ய. 6. )(St.) To kill, to destroy, கொல்ல. இங்கேபடேன். Lie down here; or, I will not lie here. செங்கல்படுத்தமுற்றம். A yard paved with bricks. (Beschi.) இருந்தல்லோபடுக்கவேண்டும். Should we not first sit and then lie down. ஒருபடுக்கையாய்ப்படுத்துக்கொள்ளுதல். Continuing lying down. படுக்கவைக்க, inf. To lay any thing down. பிள்ளையைப்படுக்கவை. Olas, or straw laid down as a bed on which to place reaped corn, tobacco, palmyra fruit, earthen ware, &c., நெற்படுக்கைமுத லியன. (c.) படுக்கைபோடுதல், v. noun. Preparing a bed, putting litter for a horse, &c. படுக்கைவீடு--படுக்கையறை, s. A sleeping room, a bedchamber. படுக்கைமரம், s. Boards laid loosely in a boat, under the cargo. படுக்கைவிரித்தல், v. noun.
