Sea, ocean, கடல்; [ex Sa. தி, what holds; ex நிதி, receptacle; ex பதி, lord.] சலதோஷம், s. Disease arising from the influence of the cold humors in the body, சலுப்பு. 2. (c.) Cold, catarrh, தடிமல். See தோஷம். சலதோஷங்காண, inf. to catch cold. சலஸ்தம்பம்--சலத்தம்பனம், s. Stopping the power, or counteracting the natural properties of water, by enchantment. See தம்பனம். சலஸ்தம்பவாதம், s. Dysury, a disease, ஓர்நோய். சலஸ்தானம், s. A pond, a lake, ஏரி. சலத்துவாரம், s. The urinary passage, urethra, சிறுநீர்த்தாரை. 2. A drain, a conduit, சலதாரை. See துவாரம். சலந்திரட்ட, inf. Water for drinking; [ex பானம்.] சலபானம்பண்ண, inf. To drink water. சலபுட்பம், s. Fish, (lit.) the water flower; an expression used by those who do not eat fish, மீன். சலப்பிரவாகம்--சலப்பிரளயம், s. A flood of water, a deluge, inundation. சலப்பை, s. The urinary bladder; [ex பை, bag.] சலமலம், s. Urine and excrement. (c.) 2. (R.) The sponge, நீர்ப்பஞ்சு. சலமறிப்பு--சலவடைப்பு, v. noun.
