oḷvu (p. 84) கிறேன், ஔவினேன், வேன், ஔவ, v. a. To grasp or seize, or take hold with the mouth, to bite off, கடித்துப்பி டிக்க. 2. To graze, rub off the skin. burn or scald so as to excoriate, அழுந்தியெடுக்க. --Note. The meaning is similar to கௌவ, but less intense. ஓவியம், s. A picture, a portrait, சித் திரம். 2.
