cuvarṇam (p. 197) --சுவர்னம்--சுவர்ன் னம். s. Gold, பொன். W. p. 963. SVARNA. Compare சுவணம், சொர்னம். சுவர்ணாதாயம், s. [com. சொர்னாதாயம்.] Money-tax on gardens, backyards, &c.; [ex ஆதாயம், proceeds.] (c.) சுவர்ணதேகம், s. Gold-like body. சுவர்ச்சாயை, s. The gold color, பொன்னிறம். சுவர்ணத்தகடு, s. A bar of gold, a plate of gold. சுவர்ணகாரன், s. A goldsmith. சுவர்ணத்திராவகம்--சுவர்ணபேதி--சுவர் ணவேதை, s. Aqua regia, that which dissolves gold, nitro-muriatic acid. சுவர்ணபுட்பம், s. Golden flowers offered to the idol; for which, gold or other coins are commonly substituted. சுவர்ணபூமி, s. The last continent within the circumambient ridge. (Puran. goeg.) சுவர்ணமயம், s. corṇam (p. 212) --சொர்ன்னம்--சொர் னம், s. Gold, பொன். (See சுவர்ணம் and சொன் னம்.) 2. A compound medicine, கோடாசுழி. சொர்ன்னக்கல், s. A precious stone. See இராசாவர்த்தக்கல். சொர்ன்னசீரம், s. [prov.] Sugar-cane, கரும்பு. சொர்ன்னதானம், s. A gift in money. சொர்ன்னதானம்பண்ண, inf. To give such a gift. சொர்ன்னபேதி, s. A mineral which dissolves gold. See சுவர்ணத்திராவகம். சொர்ன்னமயம், s. Gold color. சொர்னமயமாகச்சொரிகிறது. It rains gold; i. e. gold was given abundantly. சொர்னமாக்கி, appel. n. A kind of prepared arsenic, பவளபாஷாணம். சொர்ன்னாதாயம், s.
