cuvācam (p. 197) s. Breath, breathing, respiration, உயிர்ப்பு, W. p. 868. S'VASA. (c.) 2. A comfortable dwelling place, நல்லிருப்பிடம்; [ex சு, et வாசம்.] சுவாசம்நடக்கிறது. Breathing continues; he is still alive. சுவாசகாசம், s. Asthma. (R.) சுவாசக்குத்து, v. noun. Shooting pains in pulmonic complaints. சுவாசம்கட்டியிழுக்க, inf. To breathe as a dying person. சுவாசங்கட்டிவாங்க--சுவாசங்கட்டியே ற்ற, inf. To restrain the breath by rule, &c., as the silent ascetic--one of the யோகம். சுவாசமடங்க, inf. To stop breathing, to expire. சுவாசமடக்க, inf. To restrain the breath. சுவாசமடக்கி, appel. n. One who restrains the breath, as a yogi. சுவாசம்வாங்க, inf. To inhale, inspire. 2. To breath hard and quick, as in pulmonary disease at the approach of death. 3. To draw in and restrain the breath, as a yogi. See பிராணாயாமம். சுவாசம்வாங்கிவிட, inf. To restrain and then remit the breath. சுவாசம்விட, inf. To exhale, respire. சுவாசநிருணயம், s. Passing the breath through either nostril at pleasure, or stopping it for any length of time, சுவாச அளவை. உசுவாசம், s. [com. உச்சுவாசம்.] The air drawn in by breathing. நிசுவாசம், s.
