To be extinguished, as a fire; to be soothed as an exasperated mind, to be subdued as a mob, to be moderated as a fever; to be lower, &c., in height. பிள்ளையிப்பொழுதுதணிந்திருக்கிறது. The child is now well. தணிந்தவிலை, s. A low price, a reduced price. தணிந்தவேளை, s. The cooler time, as evening. தணிய, inf. (adverbially.) Humbly, submiss'vely, calmly, &c. தணிவு, v. noun.
