oṟu (p. 84) க்கிறேன், த்தேன், ப்பேன், க்க, v. a. To reduce, suppress, subject, restrain the senses, desires, &c., to mortify the body, curb the appetites, to pinch, stint or deny one's self, to suppress the passions, அடக்க. 2.
