There are eight kinds of ஊறு or sensations given, viz.: 1. வெம்மை, heat. 2. தண்மை, cold. 3. மேன்மை, Softness, thinness, fineness. 4. வன்மை, hardness. 5. நொய்மை, slenderness, tenuity. 6. சீர்மை. smoothness. 7. இழுமெனல், slipperiness, 8. சருச்சரை, roughness, unevenness. ஊறுகாட்டினர்க்கு.
