A rare or precious thing, அரும்பண்டம். திரவியம், 5 The five sources of riches are, 1. மலைபடுதிரவியம், mountain productions, as piper nigrum, மிளகு; costus, கோஷ்டம்; aquila or red sandal wood, அகில்; piper cubeba, தக்கோலம்; crocus, குங் குமம். 2. காடுபடுதிரவியம், forest productions, as honey-comb, தேன்கூடு; honey, தேன்; gum lac, அரக்கு; peacock's feathers, மயிற் பீலி; and civet; நாவி. 3. நாடுபடுதிரவியம், productions of the country, red-rice, செந்நெல்; a kind of pulse, சிறுபயறு; sugar-cane, கரும்பு; plantains, வாழை; red cocoa-nuts, செவ்விளநீர். 4. நகர்படுதிரவி யம், resources of the city, king, அரசன்; buffoon, பித்தன்; the black monkey, கருங் குரங்கு; elephant, யானை; mirrors, கண்ணாடி. 5. கடல்படுதிரவியம், productions of the sea, as salt, உப்பு; pearls, முத்து; red coral, பவளம்; chanks, கங்கு; amber, ஒக்கோலை.
