kīṟṟu (p. 113) s. A stroke, a line, a mark, a streak, a stripe, வரி. 2. A slice, a piece, a slip, வகிர். 3. The half of a cocoanut-leaf ஓலைக்கீற்று, See கீறு. கீற்றுக்கீற்றாயிருக்க, inf. To be streaked. கீற்றன், s. [prov.] Striped cloth--as கீற்றன்புடைவை. கீற்றுநாமக்காரன், s. A worshipper of Vishnu as having the நாமம் or tridental mark on his forehead. கீற்றாய்வெடித்திருக்க, inf. To have clifts, chinks or chaps--as in timber. கீற்றுக்கால், s. A chapped foot. See under கால், s. கீற்றுமுடைய--கீற்றுப்பின்ன, inf. To plait or braid cocoanut-leaves. தென்னங்கீற்று, s. The half of a cocoanut leaf. தென்னங்கீற்றுப்பரப்ப--தென்னங்கீற்றுப் போட, inf. To spread or cover over with cocoanut-leaves.
