citṟu (p. 182) கிறேன், சிதறினேன், வேன், சிதற, v. a. To disperse, scatter, to shiver, to diffuse--as seeds, grain, &c., இறைக்க. 2. (fig.) To squander, to waste, பொருளழிக்க. 3. To shed, pour out, சிந்த. 4. v. n. To be shed, strewed; to disperse--as a company; to be scattered--as a flock, கலைய. (Compare சிதர், v.) 5. To be diverted as the attention from the subject in hand, புத் திசிதற. 6. To wander, ramble about, go astray, திரிந்தலைய. 7. (fig.) To prove fruitless, or unprofitable, பயன்படாதுபோக. (c.) தண்ணீரையெங்குஞ்சிதறாதே. Don't spill the water every where. பணத்தையெல்லாஞ்சிதறிச்சீரழித்தான். He has squandered all the money. கூடினமேகமெல்லாஞ்சிதறிப்போயின.
