tuṉṉu (p. 251) கிறேன், துன்னினேன், வேன், துன் ன, v. n. To approach, approximate, adhere to, attach one's self to, கிட்ட. 2. To be closed, thick, crowded, நெருங்க. 3. To be stuffed, pressed in, crammed full, செருகப் பட. 4. To stick out, be protuberant, distended, swollen, பிதுங்க, வீங்க. 5. v. a. To sew, stitch, தைக்க. நீர்குடித்துகிடைச்சி துன்னிப்போயிற்று. The piece of cork is swollen with the water which it has absorbed. துன்னியார்--துன்னுநர், s. (plu.) Adharents, friends, relations, சினேகர். (சது.) துன்னூசி, s. A needle, தையனூசி. 2. See ஊசி. துன்னல், v. noun. Being near, கிட்டல். 2. Being close together, நெருங்கல். (சது.) 3. Sewing, தைத்தல். துன்னலர்--துன்னாதார்--துன்னார், s. Foes, enemies, பகைவர்.
