[local.] A kind of cucumber. கீரைக்குத் தண்ணீரிறைத்தல், v. noun. Swinging a child by the arms and legs, in imitation of throwing water for irrigation, ஓர்விளையாட்டு. கீரைநார்ப்பட்டு, s. cṭṭai (p. 157) s. A made garment, jacket coat, gown, cloak, trousers, &c., தைத்தவுடை. 2. The skin or slough of a snake, பாம்புச் சட்டை. (c.) 3. (fig.) A gown or robe. தெறிச்சட்டை, s. [prov.] A jacket with buttons. சட்டைகழற்ற, inf. To take off the jacket. 2. To cast the skin--as a snake. (c.) சட்டைக்காரன், s. One in European dress, a Portugnese; a Eurasian. (c.) சட்டைச்சாக்கு, s. A pocket. (Modern.) சட்டைச்சாம்பு, s. [loc.] Cloth seventytwo cubits in the piece; long-cloth. (Limited usage.) சட்டைநாதன், s. [com. சட்டநாதன்.] A name of Siva--as Bhairava. சட்டைபண்ண, inf. To esteem, regard, honor. (c.) சட்டைமுனி, s. [com. சட்டமுனி]. The sea of curds, the fifth of the seven circumambient oceans. தயிர்ச்சாதம், s. One of the சித்திரான்னம். See சாதம். தயிருறைய, inf. To curdle as milk. தயிரேடு, s. Cream. தயிர்வார்க்க, inf.
