coṭṭu (p. 210) s. A tap or knock with the end of the fingers on one's head, or with the beak of a crow, குட்டு. (Telugu usage.) 2. A drop, துளி. 3. [prov.] A small piece, slice, துண்டு. 4. (also சொட்டை.) Defect, blemish, stigma, &c., குற்றம். (c.) கள்ளிச்சொட்டுப்போலே. Milk as thick as that of the prickly pear. சொட்டுச்சொட்டாயிறங்க. To fall in drops. என்வேலைக்கொருசொட்டா. Can you point out a defect in my work? சொட்டுவைக்க, inf. To give a tap on one's head. சொட்டுப்போட, inf. To give a slap. 2. To disparage one's character. வட்டுவத்தின்மேல்சொட்டுப்போட்டால்வட்டுவ த்திற்குமாத்திரமாபடும். To drizzle, fall in drops. சொட்டுத்தண்டம், s. [prov.] A contribution made unwillingly, through the influence of others. சொட்டுச்சொல்--சொட்டைச்சொல், s. A jest. 2. A stigma. சொட்டுப்பால், s.
