Of நெல், there are many varieties, but the more common are கார்நெல், குளநெல், சம்பாநெல், செந்நெல், மிளகிநெல், வாலா னெல், which see severally.--The final letter is changed by rule, as நெற்கதிர், நென் மணி. நெற்கொண்டுபோமளவும்நில்லாய்நெடுஞ்சுவரே.
