paṭci (p. 291) --பக்ஷி, s. A bird, any winged creature, பறவை. W. p. 491. PAKSHIN. அவன்இறகில்லாப்பட்சி. He is a bird without feathers; i. e. destitute. பட்சிக்கூடு, s. A bird's nest, or cage. பட்சிசாதி, s. Different species of birds, the feathered tribes. பட்சிசாஸ்திரம், s. A species of augury by means of five birds. See பஞ்சபட்சி. பட்சிசாலம், s. The feathered tribes, பறவைக்கூட்டம். பட்சிதோஷம், s. A kind of sickness, in a child supposed to be occasioned by the shadow of a hungry bird falling on it in the morning. பட்சியெழுப்புதல், v. noun.
