pṉi (p. 304) s. Dew, mist, fog, haze, இமம். [common usage] 2. Coldness, coolness, குளிர். 3. Fear, reverence, dread, அச்சம். 4. Trembling, agitation, shivering with cold, quaking, நடுக்கம். 5. Distress, suffering, sorrow, துன்பம். 6. Any thing refreshing, soothing, gratifying, குளிர்ச்சி. பனிக்கண்திறந்தால் மழைக்கண்திறக்கும். If dew fall, it will soon rain. பனிக்கட்டி, s. Hard frost, உறைந்த பனி. 2. Snow, உறைந்தமழை. 3. As உறைந்தநீர். பனிக்காலம், s. Dewy season. பனிக்கொட்டுதல், v. noun. Dew falling heavily. பனிக்கதிர், s. Moon, the cool rayed, சந்திரன். (சது.) பனிக்காடு, s. Thick fog. பனிக்காற்று, s. [also ஊதற்காற்று.] Cold wind in the dewy season, commonly impregnated with dew. பனிக்குடம், s. [prov.] The uterus. See பன்னீர்க்குடம். பனிக்குடமுடைதல். The coming away of the waters at a birth, passing of the amniotic fluid. பனிச்சாமை, s. A species of சாமை grain. பனிதாங்கி, appel. n. A kind of herb, ஓர்பூடு. பனித்திவலை--பனித்துளி, s. Dew drop. பனிநத்தை, s. A snail prevalent in the dewy or rainy season. பனிநீங்குதல், v. noun. Dew Vanishing. பனிநீர், s. [com. பன்னீர் which see.] Rose water, or other liquid perfumery, also serum and water of the amnion. பனிப்பகை, s. The sun, as the foe or dispeller of dew or fog, சூரியன். பனிப்படலம், s. A thick embankment, or expanse of fog. பனிப்பயறு, s. A kind of pulse. See பயறு. பனிப்பருவம், s. They dewy season former and latter. See பருவம். பனிப்புகார், s. A. mist of dew, haze or fog. பனிப்புழு, s. Small grub, caterpillar, blight in vegetation in the dewy season. 2. A very small worm causing itching between the toes in the dewy season, சேற்றுப்புழு. பனிப்பூங்காரம், s. Mist or fog when the sun shines. பனிப்பூடு, s. A kind of herb. பனிப்பெயர்தல், v. noun. Serum, thin humor from poisonous bites, ulcers, &c., சினைத்தநீர். 3.Water of the amnion, கருப்பைநீர். (c.) பன்னீர்க்குடம், s. The amnios, or membrane containing the water in which the f&oe;tus floats.--In combination, பன் னீர்க்குடமுடைதல். பன்னீர்க்குப்பி--பன்னீர்செம்பு--பன் னீர்த்துருத்தி, s.
