To run, to ramify, to branch out in different directions, as the veins, ஓட. 4. To widen, to become diffused; to pervade, as perfume, பெருக. 5. To extend, as spots or eruptions on the skin, ஊர. 6. To spread as light; darkness, fire, a rumor, an epidemic; to rise and spread, as air, smoke, or flame; to overflow as water; to extent as knowledge, ignorance, or moral evil, பாவ. 7. (சது.) To think, to cogitate, நினைக்க. படரிருள், s. Spreading darkness. படருகிறகொடிகள், s. Running plants. படரொளி, s. Splendor. (p.) படர்கொடி, s. Any kind of running plant, &c. படர்கொடிதிரட்ட, inf.
