nir (p. 277) A Sanscrit prefix implying negation, privation, இன்மை, as நிர்நாமன், the nameless; also fulness, நிறைவு, as நிர்நாசம், entire destruction. The final ர், often takes the particle உ, as நிரு; sometimes changes to ஷ், as நிஷ்களங்கம், being spotless; to ச், as நிச்சிந்தை, a quiet mind, and to ன், as நின் மலம். See துர். நிரங்குசம், s. Dependence, subjection, the right, or jurisdiction of others, பிறர் சார்பிலிருக்கை. பரானுகூலம், s. Success to others; availing another. பரானுகூலி, s. One who helps or favors another, பிறர்க்குதவுவோன். 2. A woman who loves another man more than her husband. பரார்்த்தம்--பராத்தம், s. For the benefit of others, பிறர்க்காகத்தக்கது; [ex அர்த்தம்.] பரார்த்தஅனுமானம், s. [in log.] Inference having reference to others, as பிறர்பொருட்டனுமானம். பரார்த்ததேவப்பிரார்த்திதம், s. Interceding for another. See தாயவிருத்தி. பரான்னம், s. Food which one receives from others. பரோபகாரம், s. Kindness to others. See உபகாரம். பரோபகாரன், s. Deity as composed of male and female principles, or as managing, controlling, performing operations, for the benefit of souls, by means of the female energy, as in creation, &c., பராபரப் பொருள்; [ex பரா, sakti, et பரம், Siva or more properly, பரம், first and அபரம், last, i. e. the beginning and end.] Another derivation is from a Sans. superlative, பராத்பரம், The Most High, the Supreme Being. பராபரக்கண்ணி, s. A devotional poem by தாயுமானவர், addressed to பராபரம், this word ending every couplet. பராபரவஸ்து--பராபரன், s. The Supreme Deity, கடவுள். (சது.)--Note.
