cāmpirāṇi (p. 177) s. (Tel. ஸா்ராணி.) Frankincense, Benzoin or Benjamin styrux, தூபவர்க்கத்தொன்று. (c.) சாம்பிராணித்தயிலம், s. Oil of frankincense. சாம்பிராணித்தூபம், s. Offering frankincense in worship. சாம்பிராணிப்புகை, s. Burning frankincense, for medical or other purposes. சாம்பிராணிப்பதங்கம், s. [prov.] A kind of medicine; also a kind of perfume of which one of the chief ingredients is frankincense. See பதங்கம். சாம்பிராணிப்பட்டயம், s. [loc.] A perfumed deed of gift to a pagoda, &c. சாம்பிராணிவர்த்தி, s. [loc.] A fragrant stick or wick for burning to diffuse its odor. சாம்பிராணிகாட்ட, inf. To burn frankincense so as to perfume any thing, as is commonly done in ஆயுதபூசை. சாம்பிராணிபோட, inf. To burn or offer incense. பறங்கிச்சாம்பிராணி, s. Another kind of Benzoin, Olibanum.
