The principal பாலை plants, and trees, are ஊசிப்பாலை, a plant, Periploca esculenta; 2. ஏழிலைம்பாலை. ஏழிலைப்பாலை, a tree, Echites scholaris, of which the Tamil and Sanscrit names are derived, from its having seven leaves around the stem; 3. காக்காய்ப் பாலை, a tree, Gelonium bifarium; 4. குட சப்பாலை--கொடிப்பாலை--கறிப்பாலை, a creeping plant, Asclepias volubilis; 5.வெட்பாலை, a plant, Nerium antidysentericum; also ஆடுதின்னாப்பாலை, திருநாமப்பாலை, நிலப்பாலை, பூப் பாலை, விழுப்பாலை, which see in their places. --The seven classes of airs are: செம்பாலை, படுமலைப்பாலை, செவ்வழிப்பாலை, அரும்பாலை, கொ டிப்பாலை, விளரிப்பாலை, மேற்செம்பாலை, which see. பாலைக்கருப்பொருள், s.
